Victorian elegance abounds in this room featuring an ironwork queen canopy bed and lofty ceilings. Richly colored fabrics, an oriental rug, and sitting area make for an inviting space. The handsome club chair is winsome with its hand carved detailing of dog heads. The bathroom with navy and white tiles has a walk in shower.

Stargazing

Look towards the heavens here on the Big Island and you may think you've never seen so many stars. Astonomers agree. Considered to be the best astronomical site in the world, the summit of Mauna Kea is accessible by 4WD vehicle or with a professional guide. Hawaii Forest and Trail and Mauna Kea Summit Adventures both provide sunset and stargazing tours with warm food and clothes. A free program is also offered at the Onizuka Vistor's Center Safety information is provided for visitors on the University of Hawaii Institute for Astronomy website.
