Horseback Riding

Guided horseback rides are a popular way to
take in the Big Island's scenery. Dahana Ranch (808-885-0057)
offers rides right here in Waimea with pretty views of Mauna
Kea. Also in Waimea is Cowboys of Hawaii (808-885-5006)
which has rides on Parker Ranch's many acres. Paniolo
Adventures (808-889-5354) with stables on Kohala Mountain
Road has morning, afternoon, and sunset rides with coastal
views. In Waipio Valley there are Waipio Naalapa Trail Rides
(808-775-0419) and Waipio on Horseback (808-775-7291) who
both lead you along the valley floor to explore this historic
area of farms, streams, and waterfalls. Waipio Ridge Stables
(808-775-1007) rides out along the top edge of the valley
for awe inspiring views and the chance to take a dip in
a secluded waterfall pond.
